Pure Science DIM REVIEWS ARE FOUND ONLINE, but are the ingredients actually effective?
How Does DIM Work?
DIM, also known as Diindolylmethane is composed by the breakdown of indole 3-carbinol which is a phytochemical naturally found in cruciferous vegetables. Examples of cruciferous vegetables are cabbage, broccoli, and Brussels sprouts.
People who are struggling with estrogen dominance can benefit from DIM. If you are estrogen dominant you have too much estrogen circulating in your body which causes side effects.
Signs of estrogen dominance include weight gain in the lower belly, fatigue, and mood swings. Another side effect specifically in men is gynecomastia or "man boobs".
What Are The Ingredients and Proper Dosing?
The serving size is 1 vegetarian capsule and there are 50 servings per container. It is recommended to take 1 capsules daily with food or as directed by your doctor.
We say this a lot in our estrogen blocker reviews, but DIM can be too strong for some people. When taking it in capsule form there is no way to break them and lower the dose to judge the strength. This is why we recommend Estrohalt as it is a tablet that can be broken in half to start.
Other ingredients in this stack are vegetable stearate and rice flour. Because it contains rice flour it is not keto friendly. Estrohalt does not contain rice flour as other DIM capsules do.
Reviews of Pure Science DIM
As of the writing of this review the US listing has 0 customer reviews and the UK listing has 1 unverified customer review.
They originally had 41 reviews on Amazon UK, but the product was banned for reasons unknown.
Where Can You Buy the Dim Supplement? - UPDATE 2021
Pure science supplements cannot purchased on Amazon UK any longer because Amazon UK has banned any product containing DIM. If you want to try Estrohalt you can buy it in the UK here as well as Australia, US, Italy, Germany, France, and Spain.
Pure Science supplements also sell Chrysin A-E-3 which is another aromatase inhibitor. You can read Chrysin reviews on Amazon UK.
Pure Science DIM vs. Estrohalt
Pure Science DIM come in capsule form and can't be broken in half unlike Estrohalt.
As mentioned above, DIM supplements may be potent for some people especially if you are new to taking it. Taking a capsule doesn't allow you the option to tailor your dose.
Pure science contains Bioperine which is from black pepper and increases the absorption of B-vitamins and not DIM in our opinion.
Estrohalt does not contain Bioperine as it has no effect in the supplement as there are no B-vitamins.
The only positive benefit Bioperine may have is a slight thermogenic effect which increases the body's temperature and burns fat. Only a small dose is added in this product so it may not actually have that effect.
Are There Any Side Effects from Pure Science DIM?
- Hair loss
- Allergic reactions
- Lowers estrogen too much
Personally I have had hair loss when taking too much DIM. I was able to stop it from falling out by lowering the amount of DIM I was taking and also taking a Biotin supplement.
Pros & Cons
- Dairy, gluten, sugar free.
- Suitable for vegans and vegetarians.
- Effective for symptoms of estrogen dominance.
- Can't break capsules in half or thirds.
- Contains Bioperine.
- Less capsules per bottle than other brands.
Conclusion: Should You Try Pure Science?
Women and men both require a healthy degree of testosterone and estrogen in their bodies or they might experience side effects like low energy, breakouts, fat gain, and unstable mood. DIM helps balance these hormones and prevents these unwanted side effects.
Products like Pure Science DIM contain Bioperine which is derived from black pepper and doesn't effect estrogen. We do not think Bioperine has any effect in this supplement.
This item may work well with a wholesome way of life and reduced carb diet as reducing carbohydrates will lead to less bloating and will cause you to feel much better. Always make sure you drink sufficient water to enhance the effects.
In addition, we suggest an item which isn't comprised of Bioperine and that may be broken in half for best results.
