We are not sure how trustworthy the Navan TrueClear skin care acne reviews are as they are all posted on their own website. They do not sell on Amazon or other websites so the reviews could be manufactured in some way.
The negative reviews that we saw on their website include not having received the product or that the customer did not see any changes in their skin or acne at all.
My Personal Navan Trueclear Supplement Review (UPDATED)
After I placed my order for this acne treatment I received an email with a coupon for a discount of 10% off on my next order.
There are 90 capsules in the bottle and the serving size is one vegetarian capsule. The bottle was filled up to the top with capsules unlike other acne pills that I have taken that only fill their bottles up half way.
The capsules are medium sized and are not the biggest of the acne pills we have reviewed.

Are the Ingredients in the Navan TrueClear Supplement Effective?
The Navan skin care pills are comprised of vitamins, minerals, and herbs. There are ingredients in this supplement which have been shown to aid in the reduction of oily skin, inflammation, and pimples.
- Milk Thistle
- Kiwi Seed
- Green Tea
- Witch Hazel
There are a few ingredients in this supplement that are worth noting as they have been shown to help acne and overall skin health.
Selenium is an antioxidant that is present in foods we eat including eggs and meat. Antioxidants are important for keeping acne at bay because they help protect against oxidative stress. This means that the body can not detox the harmful effects that free radicals can cause such as inflammation, increased heart disease, and cancer.
A small study was done in 2008 that showed that people who took oral Selenium as well as other nutrients such as omega-3 fatty acids had decreased acne lesions (1).
Pantothenic acid is also known as Vitamin B5 and helps decrease sebum production. Our skin produces sebum (oil) to naturally lubricate itself so it does not become dry. Over-production of sebum will lead to excessive oily skin and clogged pores.
B-Vitamins including Pantothenic acid are associated with decreasing inflammation which is a factor in how breakouts occur. It has been shown in this study that people who took Pantothenic acid had less breakouts.
Milk Thistle is an herb that has powerful antioxidant effects as well. It has been used in traditional medicine to help detoxify the liver (2). As for it's effects on acne, Milk Thistle increases the antioxidant glutathione. It has been shown that people who have lower levels of this antioxidant have increased breakouts. (3)
NAVAN TRUECLEAR AND BIRTH CONTROL
Some vitamins and herbs may decrease the effectiveness of birth control pills. We have not heard of any interactions between this supplement and birth control, but it is always best to speak with your doctor if you are unsure.
Birth control pills have been shown to reduce certain B-vitamins which are needed for healthy skin (4). The reason why B-vitamins are important for overall skin health because they aid in elasticity of the skin, help retain moisture to ensure the skin does not get too dry, and decreases signs of aging such as wrinkles.
The use of contraceptive pills has been shown to decrease the physiologic levels of six nutrients--riboflavin, pyridoxine, folacin, vitamin B12, ascorbic acid and zinc.
Possible Navan TrueClear Side Effects
Side effects may occur when taking any supplement as we all have our own different body chemistry. What works for one person may not work for the other. It is important to be aware that certain ingredients may cause side effects.
Zinc may be added into this supplement for acne for it's ability to boost our immune system. We have mentioned in many of our reviews that Zinc can play a factor in the development of breakouts. This is because Zinc can raise testosterone levels in people including women. Because it is added in at a low dose we do not think it will have an impact on aggravating breakouts, but it may not help breakouts either.
MSM is another ingredient that may affect a person negatively. Common side effects of MSM include diarrhea, abdominal discomfort, and nausea. (5)
Burdock root may have side effects in people who are allergic to chrysanthemums or daisies as they are closely related. It is helpful for detoxifying the body in that it is a diuretic and flushes water out of your body. If you are dehydrated it is not recommend to consume Burdock because it can increase dehydration.
There are a lack of studies of Witch Hazel and it's effectiveness on treating pimples. Possible side effects include upset stomach and liver problems (6). It also contains a minute amount of a chemical called safrole which is actually causes cancer.
If you are pregnant and breastfeeding you should not take this supplement without speaking to your doctor.
Navan TrueClear Detox
When you purchase the product you will receive an insert mentioning the possible detox phase. In the beginning you may see an increase in breakouts before your skin gets better. You may only see results with this product in 2-6 months.
Navan TrueClear vs Murad
Navan Skin Care Pills
Capsules are smaller than Murad.
1 capsule, but for severe acne the company recommends to take up to 3 pills per day.
Better ingredients for acne, but may be added in at too low of an effective dose.
Large thick tablets.
Not specifically formulated for treating acne.
Other Navan TrueClear Products
On their website you can find Navan skin care pills, acne cream, serum, dark spot corrector, and facial cleanser among many other products.
CONCLUSION: Does Navan TrueClear Skincare Capsules Actually Work?
The Navan skin care pills can have results on some people as the ingredient stack is better than some of the other acne pills on the market. Since the milligram of each ingredient is added in at a low dose and the serving size is only one pill per serving, it may not be effective enough for treating acne. You may have to increase the dose to see any beneficial effects especially if your acne is moderate to severe.
